Digital Product License

This license governs your use of any audio product purchased or downloaded from saamp.co — sample packs, one-shots, melodies, loops, phrases, compositions, and musical performances (including beat leases). It is part of our Terms of Use. Read §3 carefully — different content types in the same pack can carry different rights.
1. What buying a product gives you
Purchasing (or claiming a free) product grants you a personal, non-exclusive license to use it to create your own original musical works. You do not acquire ownership or copyright in the underlying sounds, compositions, or recordings — only the rights described below.
2. Definitions
"Commercial release" means making a work that uses our content available through any public or monetized channel, including without limitation:
- Streaming or upload platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, TikTok, Instagram, or any monetized/ad-supported account on those platforms).
- Sale of the work, physical or digital, including on beat marketplaces.
- Synchronization licensing — use in film, television, games, advertising, trailers, or similar media.
- Monetized or sponsored content of any kind, including content that generates ad revenue, platform payouts, or brand-deal compensation.
- Release through a record label, distributor, publisher, or aggregator.
- Any other public distribution or commercial exploitation of the work, whether or not money changes hands at the point of release.
Private, unreleased use — writing, recording, and rehearsing for your own purposes without public distribution — is not a commercial release.
3. One-shots vs. everything else — read this first

A single pack can contain both kinds of content (see each product's spec sheet for its contents breakdown). The one-shots inside it are royalty-free; the melodic/loop content inside the same pack is not, and is governed by the clearance requirement below — buying the pack does not make its melodic content royalty-free.
4. What you may do
- Use any purchased product to create your own original musical works.
- Commercially release works you create using royalty-free content (one-shots), where otherwise permitted by these terms.
- Request exclusive rights to a specific beat or piece of melodic content through the exclusive-request option where offered on that product's page.
5. Clearance for melodic content
Before you commercially release (see §2) a work built around a melody, loop, phrase, composition, or musical performance from saamp.co, you need written clearance from Saam P. Request clearance at support@saamp.co or via the exclusive-request form on the relevant beat's page, describing the intended release. Clearance terms (including any fee or credit) are agreed separately and aren't included in the purchase price of the pack or lease itself.
6. Beat leases specifically
A beat lease is a non-exclusive license: the same beat may be leased to other artists. If you need sole use of a beat, request exclusive rights through the artist-contact option on that beat's page — exclusive terms are negotiated separately and are not included in the standard lease price.
7. What you may not do
Regardless of content type, you may not:
- Re-upload, redistribute, resell, share, or sublicense any purchased product as-is.
- Include any purchased product, in whole or in part, in another sample pack or sound library.
- Claim ownership or authorship of the original samples, loops, or compositions themselves.
- Commercially release (see §2) a work built on non-cleared melodic/composition content without written clearance (see §5).
- Attempt to circumvent any of the above licensing requirements.
8. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you breach it. On termination you must stop using the affected product in new works; releases that already complied with this license before termination are not retroactively invalidated.
